Save the Dates are Out!

The past few weeks have been a bit crazy to say the least. We finished our engagement pictures, Mike finished the drawings for our wedding logo and invitations and my mom and I printed, assembled and mailed our save the dates. Mike’s brother is getting married in less than a month, so I have been busy hosting her shower at my house, helping plan her bachelorette party and designing all of their paper good for the wedding. (I will be posting pics from their wedding! They just happen to be getting married on the same day as Jillian).

We took quite a bit of time figuring out the overall look, feel and colors of our entire wedding so that when it comes time to make the invites, programs, menus, etc, I would have a color palette and paper options to choose from. Our mountain save the date pictures really coordinate well with our colors, I was so excited about that! I had quite a few ideas for some really different save the dates, but in the end, we decided that magnets would be the best way to go because most people will actually use them. The magnet is one of our favorite engagement pictures with our logo on it with basic info and a card was placed on the top with more information. I searched quite a bit for the perfect twine to tie around the two pieces and found it on etsy. I designed a ‘welcome booklet’ for our out of town guests that was printed on the beautiful blue shimmer paper that is in our color palette, but after making one, I realized they didn’t fit in the envelopes. Bummer…but we just decided to mail them later to our out of town guests that are coming. More details on those later! So without further ado, here are the pics of our save the dates during assembly!

We ended up buying a custom stamp on etsy for the return address and used gold ink on the brown shimmery envelopes. It turned out really well!
