Our Welcome Bags

WelcomeBags2

I apologize for not posting lately…I was busy getting married this past month!! Here I will start the beginning of the wedding recap posts! Soon we will have a wedding video trailer and professional pictures to post, but for now, I will be posting on a few more pre-wedding items.

One thing my mom and I spent quite a bit of time on were the welcome bags for out of town guests. We wanted to be sure to have something ready for those guests who traveled from far away to celebrate our wedding. Inside we included Kilt Lifter beer from Four Peaks, Arizona Iced Tea (even though its made in New Jersey…strange), Cerreta’s Chocolates, snacks, maps and a cd of music from our wedding. We also included a guide to our favorite restaurants like Pizzeria BiancoOregano’sJoe’s BBQ and others. It also gave directions to my parent’s house for the lunch on Sunday along with contact information in case they needed anything that weekend.

I made custom labels for each bag with their name on it and we filled it with blue tissue paper so it felt more like a gift. One of my favorite items in the bag definitely has to be the Cerreta’s chocolates. It is a local company that has been in business for years here in Glendale. I remember being really young at my grandma’s house and she always had the green mint Cerreta chocolates in a dish in the living room.

We also hosted a rehearsal dinner the Friday night before and invited all of our out of town family. It was so nice to be able to spend that extra time with them and have them involved in the entire weekend. Pictures to come from that!

Did you make welcome bags for your out of town guests?
