On the hunt for your perfect honeymoon locale? Looking for a place that is part island paradise and part eclectic European flair? Look no further than the gorgeous island of Martinique. Just a few short hours from Miami, nestled in the Eastern Caribbean sea, Martinique is a perfect honeymoon destination for the couple looking for Caribbean paradise with a twist. A region of France, Martinique’s culinary scene is unparalleled in the Caribbean, with island-inspired continental cuisine at every turn. We were recently able to visit Martinique and spend several days taking in the beauty of the island. Keep reading for details on how to win a trip for two to Martinique!
During our stay on the island, we were able to explore the island’s natural beauty with a sailing trip on Les Balades du Delphis, where we visited ilet Loup-garou (a turtle reserve), ilet Chancel (iguana island), and ilet Madame (a sand bank swimming pool in the sea). The turquoise waters and stunning surroundings made for a gorgeous day on the water. No island adventure is complete without a bit of rum, and visiting Clement Distillery and Plantation Home for a tasting and tour of the historic home was tops on our list. Last but most certainly not least, we were thrilled to have a cooking class at the renowned Les Ateliers Médélices with Chef Bredas. We picked herbs fresh from the garden and prepared the most incredible meal with local ingredients.
Martinique has no shortage of boutique hotels and resorts, each with its own personality. We adored the funky La Suite Villa and its poolside restaurant (we happened to be there during the Beaujolais Nouveau release, and the party was spectacular!) and for those looking to completely get away from it all, the spectacular Le Cap Est Lagoon Resort and Spa provides suites each with their own private plunge pool and a seaside setting sure to impress.
We simply know that you will love Martinique as much as we did, and are so excited to share a giveaway to win a trip for two to Martinique. ENTER TO WIN YOUR HONEYMOON HERE!
