Elegant Santa Barbara Wedding

Katie and Collin’s Santa Barbara wedding is complete and total perfection. The couple was engaged in Jackson Square in New Orleans, and they brought the Big Easy to the West Coast, where they currently live. Their oceanside ceremony was followed by a traditional Second Line, and they danced the night away to Louis Armstrong. Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore is a lush oasis, and the couple worked with Central Coast Memory Makers to bring their vision of traditional elegance to life. Precious and Blooming Floral brought a touch of the South to the arrangements, adding magnolia leaves to the florals. The beautiful greenery brings out the beauty of the surroundings. Every single image from Rebekah Westover Photography is utterly stunning!

From the bride: Our wedding was originally planned to take place in our hometown, Salt Lake City, Utah. Five months before the wedding, I called my mom to tell her I thought we should move the wedding to California where Collin and I live. The next weekend my parents were on a flight out to California to look at new wedding venues. The Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore was the first venue we saw. It was the only venue that still had our original wedding date available. After we left we knew it was the perfect location and we canceled the rest of our appointments. Since we only had a few months to plan, I knew I needed help. Liz Brown from Central Coast Memory Makers worked with my busy work schedule to help me plan our dream wedding.

Collin lived in New Orleans when we first started to date, and we even got engaged in Jackson Square. We knew we wanted to incorporate the city we loved so much into our wedding. It was extremely important to us to have a traditional second line after our ceremony. We ordered parasols from New Orleans, and had personalized handkerchiefs made for all of our wedding guests. I loved how intimate our wedding was; we were able to share special moments with every single one of guests. It was a bit challenging finding a traditional brass band in California, but Hilarion from the New Orleans Traditional Brass Band brought the Big Easy to Santa Barbara. The second line really set the tone for the rest of the evening. We danced the night away to Louis Armstrong with all of our loved ones.
