Charmingly Elegant Chateau Wedding in Arizona

When Haley and Isaiah began planning their wedding they didn’t have lots of detailed Pinterest boards outlining all the must-have elements for their day. Instead, they wanted to focus simply on celebrating love, and with an uncomplicated vision of bright colors and classy elegance, they let Riding Tandem and their vendor team take the lead to create this lovely and beautiful event! Their venue couldn’t have been dreamier and the coral and pink florals by The Wildflower AZ were perfection against the pale blue bridesmaids dresses. In their own words

How did you meet?

We met through a mutual friend, kind of. A girl who led a Women’s Bible study I was a part of wanted to set me up with someone and reached out to a girl who was close friends with Isaiah. She sent him a picture of me and a few words about me, and I got the same tidbits of info! We met at Pita Jungle for our first date on a Sunday after I worked and enjoyed a meal and conversation for almost 3 hours.

What is your proposal story?

We flew up to Minnesota for his youngest brother Kyle’s wedding, and he proposed the next morning on one of his favorite little nature walks that overlooks the St. Croix River on the Minnesota Wisconsin border. I knew he had the ring and was anticipating the engagement very soon, but I did not think he could bring the ring on the trip or propose in front of a bunch of his family!

What were your favorite parts of the day?

The entire day was incredible. I never understood how girls could say it was the best day of their life, and it truly was the best day of my life. I woke up early with my roommate Becki to do a workout at Orange Theory, and we drove to the venue together blasting worship music. All of my bridesmaids and I enjoyed homemade breakfast casserole and Starbucks, which my dad delivered to us while we started getting ready. Since I had 10 bridesmaids, makeup and hair took a large quantity of the day – we enjoyed time together chatting and going out on the balcony. It was relaxing and stress-free. We enjoyed catered Chik Fil A for lunch, and around this time I stepped away from everyone to be alone to read a note my dad had written to me. The whole day was so enjoyable, and I was fully present during all of it, including the ceremony. I thought I would be in happy tears the whole walk down the aisle and entire ceremony, and the Holy Spirit allowed me to be so incredibly calm and soak it all in. There didn’t seem to be any glitches or hiccups, and I loved the words spoken by our officiant, the worship songs played, communion, the dinner, the speeches, every tender embrace I received and interaction I had with the people near and far who traveled to celebrate our union in person. I absolutely love dancing at weddings, but we were instead trying to make our rounds to say Hello to everyone! Before we knew it, it was time for the sparkler exit sendout. I remember so many people telling me the whole day would be a blur and I’d be so exhausted by the end of the night, but I wasn’t tired at all and didn’t want it to end. It was absolutely wonderful, and I am so abundantly blessed.
