I am love love loving this color combination! The two shades are fantastic separate, or combinable into a dusky gray/blue. Any accent color would pop against these neutrals. I want a complete outfit in these shade! Or a house, or a wedding! I’ll take anything. The colors perfectly fit this cold winter’s day.

Cinderella Wedding Inspiration
Inspired by the movie Cinderella, this shoot designed by Amore Events by Cody is absolutely befitting a princess! From head—a gorgeous tiara by Mignonne Handmade—to toe—glass slipper-like Christian Louboutins—our fairy tale bride is picture perfect, and a Watters ballgown embodies the spirit of Cinderella. Elegant details such as calligraphed invitations by Poppy and Scooter and a vintage-inspired ring by Trumpet and Horn make the look utterly timeless, while touches like the incredible carousel cake from Maliha Creations add a whimsical, charming lightness. Lush, garden-style arrangements by Whimsical Floral Design adorn the tables and even the final fantasy touch: a getaway carriage! We are smitten with each and every frame from Rachel May Photography!
Intimate + Timeless Neutral Wedding Inspiration
Be still our hearts. Sara Cangueiro from Hoje é especial designed this ethereal inspiration shoot around the theme “Love is the salt of life”. Her vision of a timeless and romantic wedding was brought to life with a neutral color palette and a stunning setting. Seixas do Minho, Portugal’s Villa Idalina has an almost other-worldly feel, its stately ceilings and paneled walls in the most perfect shade of blue and gold. The gorgeous florals by Hoje é especial added a romantic touch to the intimate table setting for two. Janine is resplendent in a Jesus Peiro Porto gown and gold jewelry from Jewellery for Al, with tousled waves by Pedro Ferreira and soft makeup by Makeup By Bárbara Brandão. A simple cake with sugar laurel leaves from Peace of Cake is delicately placed on a wood console, and taper candles alight the room. We are utterly in love with each frame from Momento Cativo!
Teal, Pink & Silver
There’s nothing more fun and punchy than a party palette of pink and teal! Full of confetti, fringe, sequins, and sparkle, this inspiration board pairs the sweetest shade of strawberry with a deep teal to produce a positively fun and whimsical color combo that’s perfect for a modern summer wedding. Everything about this just screams celebration!
Peach, Light Blue, and Gray
After the 64 degree weather in Chicago this weekend, I think it’s safe to say spring is upon us! And what better way to celebrate spring than with a light, airy, and elegant color palette befitting the season? Pairing soft blue and dove gray with the palest of peach, this board is all about romantic details like flowing linens, fluffy flowers, ribbons and calligraphy.
I am in love with gray. It is perhaps my favorite color to work with because it can be used with absolutely every color. I’ve done a brown and gray board before and although the color scheme is similar in this board, the feeling is completely different. Adding in just the slightest tinge of a mauve-y purple gives this board a completely glamorous and elegant feel.
Purple, Aqua, and Chartreuse
You may have learned by now that I have a soft spot in my heart for unexpected color combinations. Today’s board was inspired by the photo in the top left – a whimsical garden palette of purple and white with hints of aqua and chartreuse.
Plum and Indigo
To kick off our purple week, we have a lush and vintage inspiration board of plum and indigo. I have to say, some color combinations I just fall in love with. And this is DEFINITELY one of them. There is something so luxurious about the blend of dark purple and blue!
Rustic NC Mountain Wedding
Whitney was kind enough to enter our EAD inspiration contest awhile back, and even though she didn’t win, we thought we’d pull together an inspiration board for her rustic fall North Carolina mountain wedding in hues of orange, brown, and aqua.
Instead of the traditional church wedding and reception, many brides choose a chapel in the mountains as their wedding venue. Two friends married several years ago in a chapel built around a huge boulder. The guests rented several cabins in the area and spent a weekend celebrating. Inspired by that, I give you a simple mountain wedding, simply southern.
