Hi everyone! This weekend I’m going to regale you with tales of my Greek Isle cruise! We sailed on the Royal Caribbean Splendour of the Seas and departed from Venice, Italy on June 14th. Two of our best friends, Feisty Tourist and her husband, accompanied us.
Venice was lovely. It was not my first time to the city so there was not pressure to see everything and do everything.

Because it was Feisty’s first time in Venice, we visited St. Mark’s and the Doge’s Palace.

We took time to wander around the city and get lost in the beautiful alleyways and footpaths.

We set sail on Saturday early evening and our first day on the ship (Sunday) was an at sea day. It was also formal night!

Our first port day was Athens, Greece, where we visited the Acropolis.

Note to visitors: wear rubber-soled shoes. The marble stairs to the Parthenon are quite slippery. The ladies also purchased parasols for 5 euro to keep the sun at bay. They came in quite handy throughout our travels!
