Real Wedding: Fernanda + Greg, 02.09.2008

Kasey, from Bliss Weddings and Events, sent over a February wedding for us to share with our readers! First up are pictures of the happy couple, Greg and Fernanda.

Greg and Fernanda married at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio. It is the oldest Catholic church in Columbus. The building, built in 1844, has survived a major fire, and the church is part of a congregation founded in 1833. How is that for history?

The bride is Brazilian, so part of the ceremony were performed in Portuguese. There ceremony programs were also written in Portuguese and English.

From old to brand new! The reception was held at the Knowlton School of Architecture on the Ohio State Campus. It was the first reception held at the school. The colors were (of course) red, silver, black and white.

Kasey says this about the menu:

During cocktail hour we served Caipirinha – the national drink of Brazil made with cachaca. We also served Pao de Queijo (cheese bread) imported from Brazil during cocktail hour. Guests were treated to Brazilian petit fours as well as a American traditional wedding cake. All 1000 pieces of the petit fours were hand made by the bride’s cousin just days before the wedding and driven to Columbus from Chicago the day before the wedding!

Our last shot of the day is one of the oh-so-trendy blur shots.

Doesn’t it look fabulous?

Photographers were Michelle Waters and Amy Carruthers from C Studios.
