Back when I visited Claire Pettibone’s boutique, I was introduced to the wonderfully organic, handcrafted, custom headpieces made by the wondrous Tracy of TS Tiara. The moment I was crowned with one of Tracy’s unique and inspired twig headbands…. I knew I had to look no further. They were so bohemian, so rockstar… just hippie enough, but with a touch of the funk…. absolutely perfect.

I contacted Tracy directly, to discuss her styles and what colors would be best for me, and she invited me over to her studio to play around. She was so sweet and enthusiastic, I couldn’t wait to meet her – though I was sure that the twig style was the only one for me.
My mom and I arrived giddily, and Tracy couldn’t have been a warmer spirit. She sat me down and we started trying on style after style – each more beautiful and unique than the next. I felt like a fairy princess! Just take a peek at some of her magnificent creations. The woman is a genius, people:

Each piece is custom designed, taking into consideration the bride’s face, gown, hair color, texture, style, and shape of head. Tracy was like the Hair Whisperer – her suggestions and insights were spot on. She also is just plain FUN to work with – she got just as excited as we were. It felt like spending time with an old friend. Its clear she makes every piece with loads of love.
It was so hard to decide on just one – they were all so beautiful! In the end, we settled on a blending of our two favorite styles – and (wouldn’t you know it), neither involved twigs! I can’t wait for the finished product – its going to be so lovely, so special, and best of all, so me. Plus, she does jewelry, so she’s making me earrings to compliment the headpiece – Score! My mom and I could barely contain our excitement – and jumped up and down happily the whole way out the door.
Tracy is a true artist, making every piece herself, and is very fair and reasonably priced considering the time that must go into these beauties. She also works with veils, if that’s your thing… and her styles range from traditionally classic to funkily offbeat. She is available locally, but also consults over email so no matter where you live, you can enjoy her spectacular creations!
I’m so happy to have found TS Tiara, and it was really special to share the experience with my mom there. I just can’t wait for y’all to see the finished product!
