Wedding planning can be so overwhelming.  I knew so much of what I already wanted, but planning is hard even for someone who read and wrote wedding blogs regularly like myself.  So I did what most brides out there in blogland did…I went to Snippet and Ink.  I wanted an inspiration board and this is before I knew how to create my own..here’s what I found…

See where I’m going with this?  I really wanted to embrace the rustic and homey feel of the farm.  I didn’t want to try to fight the venue so to speak.  I firmly believe that you need to continue the vibe of whatever venue you’re having your wedding in.  If I were to get married in a gorgeous hotel, I would be doing things VERY differently.

Once I knew what look I was going for, I designed the save the date invitations with Heather from We Met in a Bar.  She was SO great-and look how awesome our save the dates turned out!

We love them and the response we got was overwhelming-I think between these and then our wedding website-folks really understood what feel we were going for.

I didn’t necessarily want a “themed” wedding but I did want people to know what to expect and to know that it was going to be fun and laid back.

Did any of you brides out there feel strongly about a certain “vibe” you wanted to convey to guests?
