Photographing my sister’s wedding

I really loved photographing my sister’s wedding, which was just this month at Studio 450 in New York City. She had a small budget, so she enlisted help from family and friends to put the wedding together. Her friend designed the flower arrangements, my other sister put them together, her sister-in-law cooked the food, and I took the pictures. I was really scared, but luckily {phew} she loves the pictures and I think we’ll be able to make a really nice blurb book from them! Here are some highlights of the day out of the 300 pictures I edited. My hand is tired from clicking–pro photogs, how do you do it??

[The groom was the only one to give a speech, and it was a tear-jerker.]

[They danced to Dream a Little Dream of Me, and then it switched to White Wedding and everyone ran out to the dance floor!]

[There was A LOT of dancing! That’s the groom’s nephew break dancing. I managed to dance some too with my camera!]

[My brother-in-law’s parents wrote henna on each of their hands. This is my sister’s name in Arabic.]

I couldn’t help but turn a bunch of the pictures into polaroids. Here are a few of my favorites.

It was a beautiful day. Was anyone brave like my sister and entrusted a friend/relative with the pictures?
