Inspired by Hot Air Balloons

I’m so sorry for the late post today everyone. Hopefully this adorable Inspired Creations Concept will make it up to you! Styled by Ashley Dicksa of Creative Events by Ashley and photographed by Lilia Ahner of Lilia Photography, this garden tabletop has so many gorgeous elements – I’m pretty much in love!  Ashley was inspired by vintage photographs of hot air balloons and used a romantic color palette of baby blue, moss green, and pale pink.

Succulent Place Setting

Let’s start with my favorite detail, the precious heart-shaped succulents that serve as place cards.  Ashley used her die cut machine to create each name and non-toxic spray glue to affix them to the succulent.  Moss and a smal piece of cardboard serve as the base, and these make not only a beautiful addition to the place setting but also a wonderful favor!

To create the “hot air balloons” strung from the trees, Ashley wired two halve baskets together with floral wire, wrapped some fabric over the sphere shape, tied with fishing wire and covered with ribbon.  The wire basket underneath is covered with moss and wired to the balloon shape.  Floral foam is placed inside the bottom basket and inside rests hydrangeas.  These are so elegant and organic, and I adore them!

Baby’s breath centerpieces were the perfect accessory to complete the tabletop.
