Our Nebraska Wedding: Reception Details

:

View all of Stephanie’s previous wedding recaps here

So before we get into the awesomeness that was our reception…let’s take a look at the set-up!  And by ‘set-up’ I mean all the beautiful flowers and details of course!!

All I really told our florist is that I wanted the randomly-thrown-together-country-wildflowers-in-a-jar look…and boy oh boy did she deliver!  I mean seriously the pictures do NOT do them justice.  Everyone commented on how beautiful and different they were.

Along with the flowers, the tables were covered in white linens with burlap table runners (made by my fab Aunt!), along with an assortmant of wood slices, candles, jars, corn (yes corn), pinecones, and even tiny clothespins (that were left over from our photo-twine display)!  Two of my super-hip aunts were behind the table and decor set-up and I was nothing short of blown-away by how awesome they did!

From the different bird details…to the burlap…I was so happy with how all the little details I had in mind came together so wonderfully!

Oh and did I mention our cake table?!  Holy goodness!

My Uncle hooked us up with some seriously amazing cakes…well at least that’s what people tell me…can you believe I didn’t eat a single piece!?!  We didn’t do a traditional cake cutting..and apparenlty I was too busy shaking my bootie the rest of the night to stop and grab a slice!

I still can’t get over how cute our little cake banner from Baumbirdy turned out!

Along with the delicious cake selection (creamy snickers cheesecake, carrot, lemon, chocolate mousse…just to name a few) we also had the Norwegian Kransekake and dozens of yummy cookies!!  Did we go a little overboard…perhaps…but was it worth it…HECK YES it was!

Now that I’ve got you all hungry for cake and cookies…I think I better stop :)

Stay tuned for all the fun happenings from our reception!!
