Danae and Paul’s pastoral wedding at Blue Door Farm in Rolling Prairie, Indiana, is down-home sophistication at its absolute best! How gorgeous are those sloping hills behind the trees where the ceremony was held? Danae’s mother, Dee McDuffee, did the flowers, and we just love the all-white cascading bridal bouquet. The lace details of Danae’s gown are stunning, and her short fishnet veil is a perfect complement to the more intricate ensemble. We’re pretty sure the short navy bridesmaids dresses—with chic ruffled collars—are something we would wear again, and the classic color is perfect carried over into crisp blue and white reception decor. Even the mouthwatering cake, from Bumbleberries, got a touch of blue with accent flowers. Thanks to the always fabulous Jen Lynne Photography for sharing this gorgeous affair—see all of the beautiful images here in the gallery!

Classic + Elegant Garden Wedding
There’s nothing better than a good outdoor Southern wedding! Lauren and Jeff held theirs at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the perfect backdrop for an effortlessly elegant ceremony. And even though the surroundings were stunning alone, Robert Long Flora Design stepped in to create lush bouquets in whites and blues that complemented the garden plantings. Lauren’s gorgeous Priscilla of Boston dress is the stuff our dreams are made of—check out the lace scallop detailing! Navy bridesmaids dresses from Ann Taylor grounded all of the lighter colors—we adore the flattering ruching at the top. Melissa Schollaert Photography captured every last detail of this classic affair, and we’re drooling over all of the pictures—especially the one with the Frosted Pumpkin Gourmet, Inc., cake wrapped in Tiffany blue satin ribbon!
Casual + Rustic Virginia Country Wedding
Casey and Joey dreamed of a rustic, romantic Virginia wedding, and we know they must’ve pinched themselves to make sure their fantasy had really come to life. These photos from Timmester Photography are gorgeous and capture the country-chic theme of the day. Merriweather Manor in Leesburg served as the woodsy backdrop for vibrant bouquets and arrangements featuring dahlias, cockscomb, and bark wire from Holly Chapple Flowers. The couple incorporated a tree theme for the weekend, and we adore the round stumps they used as table numbers. Kelley Cannon Events coordinated the picture-perfect day, ensuring the atmosphere was pretty but laid-back for Casey and Joey’s guests. And we’re betting the classic navy bridesmaids dresses from Vineyard Vines will actually get more than one day of wear! The heart motif on stationery by Miss Merkle Design sweetly sums up Casey’s feelings about the wedding: “The love and support from our family and friends helped make the day a magical experience for us.”
Romantic + Classic New England Wedding
There’s just something effortlessly romantic about the New England coast, and the Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, Rhode Island, didn’t disappoint for Amy and Chet’s wedding festivities. Bridesmaids carried bright pink and yellow wildflower-style bouquets from Allison Phalen Floral Design that played off the natural setting along Narragansett Bay, but the bride held tight to traditional formal elegance with an all-white arrangement and classic silhouette gown. Veronica’s Sweetcakes created a simple two-tier treat that looked too pretty to eat! We can feel the happiness in these sweet photos from Rebecca Arthurs Photography!
French-Inspired Mountain Wedding
Kathleen and Patrick brought the feeling of a French Chateau to the mountains of North Carolina in their wedding at the Biltmore Forest Country Club. Incorporating their French and Irish heritages, the four-leaf clover and a fleur-de-lis were blended into a unique logo that was used as a label for the elegant wine bottle candelabras which sat in the center of each table. I absolutely love Kathleen’s custom lace and silk dupioni gown by New York Bride and Groom. A huge thank you to Jere and Ashley Dotten for these gorgeous photos!
Rustic + Elegant Texas Hill Country Wedding
Hyemi and Chris wanted their wedding weekend to be a “laid-back, rustic-chic affair,” so the most important item on their checklist was choosing a venue that would set that tone. “We chose a perfect, beautiful, peaceful spot—Red Corral Ranch—in the Texas Hill Country, which is the area where we got engaged,” says Hyemi. The ceremony was held beneath a branch arch festooned with lush peach and cream garden rose blooms from Wild Poppy Floral and Event Design. The couple called upon Christina Lewis of Wedding Warriors to handle the day-of coordination, which also included vintage touches from Bee Lavish Vintage Rentals. Bridesmaids wore peach J.Crew dresses with classic pleated skirts. Hyemi opted for a embroidered lace Enzoani gown in a column silhouette that is stunning! After a tractor ride to the red barn reception site, the bridal party joined guests inside, where elegant rustic details like burlap linens, twinkle lights, and a sweet buttercream cake from Sugar Shack Bakery completed the scene. We’re in love with these joyful images from Michelle Boyd Photography!
Chic + Casual Backyard Wedding
Molly and Mike’s lovely Wayzata, Minnesota, wedding was a family affair, starting with the location of their ceremony and reception—Mike’s parents’ backyard! With help from Jennae Elizabeth of Blush & Whim, Molly and Mike planned the summer wedding of their dreams, which included vows beneath a pergola constructed by Mike’s stepdad. Along with Sarah of Four Finches, Molly’s mom, Mary, helped style the colorful flowers for the affair, some of which she grew in her own garden. Molly paired her ivory gown by Blush by Hayley Paige from The White Gown with a lace mantilla veil, also made by her mother. Bridesmaids in navy dresses from J.Crew and groomsmen in gray suits were casual but perfectly in step with the rest of the laid-back elegance of the day. Other fun touches included a heart-shaped pinata handmade by Molly’s sister and a delicious looking unfrosted chocolate wedding cake by Catherine Miller of Camelbear Bakery. Enjoy all of these gorgeous images from Clary Photo!
Navy + Red Fall Wedding
We love the chic color combination of navy and red mixed with shiny magnolia leaves in Lauren and Robert’s wedding florals and decor! The classic look continues with elegant one shoulder navy bridesmaids dresses by Jasmine and bouquets filled with red and white roses and magnolia by Melissa of Sadie’s Couture Floral & Event Styling. Lauren chose a sleek, column style Jenny Lee gown from L’Atelier Couture. The beautiful Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Minneapolis was home to the ceremony, followed by a reception at Nicollet Island Pavilion. There, Mintahoe Catering & Events and Buttercream Cakes & Desserts kept guests satisfied, surrounded by more lush fall centerpieces at the stone and wood venue. These stunning images from Laura Ivanova Photography will have you swooning!
Ivory + Gold Ballroom Wedding
Emily and Dan’s Columbus, Ohio, wedding is impossibly classic and sophisticated, with a dreamy palette of ivory, blush, and gold and dramatic pops of navy. The gorgeous St. Mary’s Catholic Church was host to the catholic ceremony, and the ethereal colors continued at the reception, held in the breathtakingly gorgeous The Westin Columbus. Marble floors and gold details created a fairytale space for Emily and Dan; Emily looked like a princess in a CB Couture lace gown, accented by a stunning vintage veil from Vera’s House of Bridals! Bridesmaids wore long navy dresses by Joielle, but their flowers, like the others, were held to the neutral palette. Flowers on Springtree Lane translated Emily’s vision so that the blooms accented rather than competed with the surroundings. Textured roses on linens by Urquid Linen and the cake by The End Dessert Company were in keeping with the intricate detailing of the décor. We are simply in love with these swoon-worthy images from Two Maries!
Elegant Outdoor Lowcountry Wedding
How lovely is Allison and David’s Lowcountry wedding, held outdoors at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina? Classic style rules the day, with fresh white flowers like anemone, hydrangeas, and roses from Out of Hand, and timeless details implemented by the team of Hannah Grogan and Lisa Thomas of Ohh! Events. The backdrop of the water and sunset was a gorgeous scene for the ceremony, with bridesmaids wearing preppy dresses from J.Crew and Allison in a stunning Martina Liana gown. The ruffled skirt detailing is to die for! The amazing team at Fish created the buttercream cake, which resembled a hydrangea kissing ball atop a bed of roses and was the perfect complement to the crisp blue and white color palette of the tent reception decor. Don’t miss any of the beautiful images from Amelia + Dan!
Whimsical + Pretty Outdoor Wedding
It’s no wonder that classic style rules the day at Meghan and Aaron’s Chautauqua, New York, affair–after all, the wedding was held at The Hall of Philosophy at Chautauqua Institution, an education center and summer resort where Meghan’s family goes back generations. To set the tone for their day, the couple sent out vintage-style stationery designed by the groom, Aaron Fetter. Following the outdoor ceremony, where bridesmaids wore short pink Jenny Yoo Collection dresses that sweetly coordinated with hydrangea bouquets by Francesca’s Floral Design, guests headed to the resort’s Athenaeum Hotel for a laid-back reception that included a buttercream cake from The Cakery, plenty of dancing, and the release of paper sky lanterns, which lit up much the way Meghan did in her Watters gown! We love these images from Hunter Photographic and can’t get enough of all of the beautiful details waiting for you in the gallery!
Elegant Outdoor Florida Wedding
We are really loving the peach and black color palette of Carrie and Brandon’s Orange Park, Florida, wedding! Held outdoors at The Club Continental, the pastel and bold combination is unexpected and sophisticated. Soft flowers and black lace linens dot the event, created and styled by Aime Peterson Flowers & Event Design. The bridesmaids dresses from Belk are also lacy and black, while peach and cream bouquets soften the look. Carrie’s Wtoo gown from Victorian Rose Bridals features a jaw-dropping open back, and we love the punch of color from her blue satin shoes by Nina. Shipra Panosian Photography didn’t miss a single detail when capturing this chic affair—see all of the gorgeous images in the gallery!
Elegant Pink + Gray Wedding
Wow is all we have to say about this San Gregorio, California, wedding, held outdoors at Chateau La Joye. Eveli and Ryan’s day was full of romance and elegance—with a fun nod to Eveli’s heritage in the form of a traditional mariachi band. We love! Eveli looks stunning in an Allure Bridals gown, completed with a breathtaking mantilla veil from Emily Rohm. Long and flowy gray bridesmaids dresses are the perfect grounding color for romantic pink and green flowers by Alena Jean—and a few even found their way into Eveli’s gorgeous updo! Details like yellow sugar flowers on the cake from Sweet Tooth Confections and sweet babys breath wreaths for flower girls push this wedding over the top. We love all of the beautiful images from Christina Diane!
Elegant Mountain Wedding
The St. Regis Deer Valley is a breathtaking locale on its own, but when you add in a gorgeous bride in a stunning Marisa gown topped with an ethereal Monique Lhuillier capelet, it’s a total fairy tale! Cameron and Ryland took full advantage of the Park City resort’s natural beauty with an outdoor ceremony (check out the amazing aisle and altar!), lush, seasonal arrangements by Honey of a Thousand Flowers, and fresh green Monique Lhuillier bridesmaids dresses. We just adore the perfect pairing of elegant and rustic, and all of the beautiful images from Paul Johnson Photography!
Romantic + Elegant Museum Wedding
Ana and Andre’s Miami wedding just may be the zenith of all elegant, sophisticated South Beach bashes—it also happens to be one of the photographer’s favorite affairs of 2012. Held at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, the Jewish ceremony featured traditions such as a chuppah—festooned with lush peach, green, and cream blooms by Parrish Designs—breaking the glass, and the hora. Bridesmaids shimmered by candlelight in deep metallic gray dresses from Amsale, while Ana’s Rivini gown was accented by an ethereal mantilla veil. Some of our absolute favorite details are the couple’s vintage getaway car, and the traditional English fruitcake made by Ana’s family. The photos from KT Merry Photography are stunning, just like this waterfront wedding!
Pretty + Classic Estate Wedding
Elle and John’s outdoor wedding celebration at the Welkinweir stone estate in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, was a lovely, thoughtful country-meets-sophisticated affair! The classic chocolate-and-gold color palette is gorgeous in these images from Amanda Kraft Photography, from the Kristen Ekeland stationery embellished with a tree illustration to the pretty yellow-and-cream blooms—including dahlias as Elle requested—by Ryan Jane Co. The bride added a stunning Nicole Miller belt to her gown from Bridals by Danielle, and the pale-colored bridesmaids dresses by Jenny Yoo echoed the decor found inside the reception tent. This couple didn’t overlook a single detail, and it shows—it’s one of our favorites!
Charming + Sophisticated Wedding
Old South charm and elegance abound at Historic Mankin Mansion in Richmond, Virginia, where Carly and Paul chose to host their wedding festivities. The bride stunned in a strapless Blue by Enzoani gown, and her elegant maids shined in short black bridesmaids dresses from Forever Yours International. Flower Girls crafted classic bouquets that included white and green hydrangeas—a Southern staple—and they carried the color palette over to the reception tent with white flowers set amid gold details and green linens. The three-tier confection from Cakes by Graham featured white flowers and green icing details to match the decor. Katie Stoops Photography masterfully captured both the emotions and details of the day, including the custom candy bars from For the Love of Chocolate, wrapped in gorgeous personalized labels by Jacqueline Weppner of Merci New York—the perfect sweet ending to an even sweeter day!
Classic + Elegant Mansion Wedding
We are absolutely blown away by the gorgeous Southern charm of Callie and Andrew’s Birmingham, Alabama wedding. Held at the historic Donnelly House, the outdoor ceremony gave way to an indoor and outdoor reception, both featuring tons of lush hydrangea blooms in centerpieces and bouquets created by Continental Florist. The bride’s Rivini gown starts as a traditional strapless style, but the bottom will nearly leave you breathless—pleated orchid-like ruffles make this a dress to remember. The chocolate-colored dresses from Bella Bridesmaid are a stark and sophisticated contrast to the white flowers. Spindle Photography captured every last perfect part of the day, including that amazing wedding cake from Olexa’s. We can’t pick just one favorite detail of this delicious affair!
Classic + Whimsical Chicago Wedding
Love was blowing through the Windy City on Carrie and Mike’s wedding day, and these breathtakingly sweet photos showcase the elegance of it all! The couple wanted guests to have a real taste of the city, and the downtown Chicago Cultural Center was just the right venue for their ceremony and reception. Jesse Deckard of Event Creative made sure Carrie had a classic all-white bouquet to accent her White by Vera Wang gown – Carrie is a drop-dead gorgeous bride and we have to admit to being just a wee bit smitten with her! We love details like the moss reception table numbers wedding planner Lauren Carter of Lola Event Productions found, and the foam fingers that guests used to welcome Carrie and Mike to their reception. Such a fun day captured by Bobbi+Mike!
Charming + Pretty Virginia Wedding
The pastoral beauty of the Clifton Inn in Charlottesville acted as the backdrop for Jen and Joseph’s outdoor ceremony, and they couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous Virginia day! We adore the soft green, gold, and blue color palette inspired by the seaside, and the beautiful floral table runner. All of the simple but elegant details, from lush hydrangea bouquets by Southern Blooms to Jen’s lovely strapless scalloped gown, were captured by the impeccable Katie Stoops and we are utterly in love.
Sophisticated + Elegant Phoenix Wedding
To celebrate their forever love, it’s only appropriate that Paige and Brent chose a laid-back, beautiful Arizona desert setting, the same state in which Brent was once declared its most eligible bachelor! We are smitten with the timeless elegance of Paige’s intricate lace gown and those soft, romantic blooms by Encore! Creative. Following a small ceremony at Valley Presbyterian Church, guests moved on to a rustic but romantic outdoor reception at El Chorro, complete with a classic tiered cake from Classic Cakes and Confections. These lovely images from Gina Meola Photography show an intimate, perfect evening for a sweet couple!

Peach + Green Garden Wedding
Emily and Chris’s outdoor wedding—held at the groom’s family home in Zionsville, Indiana—is a study in spring colors and elegant rustic details. Peach, green, yellow, and cream flowers by Enflora are pretty and lush even in understated colors, and Premier Events helped the couple style their coastal-inspired reception, held beneath tents at the family home. Harrison Studio captured the pastoral, elegant details of the day, like the taupe bridesmaids dresses from J.Crew and the seaglass-colored tablescapes with watercolor accents. Emily’s Modern Trousseau lace gown is the perfect mix of bohemian and modern. Don’t overlook the fabulous ombre cake, in shades of blush and taupe, from Classic Cakes. Fun fact: Emily’s matron of honor is the lovely Vanessa, whose wedding we featured last summer—these ladies have great taste! There are so many gorgeous images, we almost couldn’t choose—see them all in the gallery!
Rustic + Pretty Backyard Wedding
We love the simplicity of this affair, held at a family residence in Indiana. Meghan and Josh’s inspiration gave way to natural details such as pretty baby’s breath and pink David Austin rose bouquets by Marcia’s Flower Cart. The sweeter elements got a shot of rustic flair with barn wood tables built by Meghan’s stepdad and planted succulent favors and centerpieces. The backyard venue provided soft surroundings for the bride’s Watters gown and pale pink D’Zage bridesmaids dresses. Meghan, who is a wedding photographer, wanted to make sure the whole affair showed plenty of both her and Josh’s personalities, and we see them shining through in these images from Clary Photo!
Elegant Indianapolis Ballroom Wedding
It’s only fitting that a gorgeous couple have a gorgeous wedding! Kristen and Nate are that couple, and their elegant ballroom wedding was just as stunning as they are! After a traditional ceremony right down the street from where they live, the bride and groom hopped on a trolley and headed to the beautiful Indiana Roof Ballroom in the heart of Indianapolis. The couple’s pastel color palette was accented with just a touch of metallics—a hint of glamour among all the formal and elegant details. A big thank you to Turtle Pond Photography for capturing this beautiful day!
Snow White Wedding Inspiration
Elegant + woodsy = pure romance, and that’s exactly what we have here this afternoon in this shoot inspired by the one and only Snow White. April Foster Events and The Empty Vase teamed up to create a tablescape filled with decadent red, elegant gold, and natural moss elements that is exactly what I imagine if Ms. White was able to sneak away for a romantic weekend in the woods. Fairy tales are all the rage right now and lots of candied apples, mushrooms, and even dwarf details fill the shoot. I love, love, love the red and gold invitations by Jupiter and Juno! Take a look at these photos by SB Childs Photography and tell me this shoot is not the fairest one of all?! Many more details to come on today our facebook page – there’s just too much pretty, we can’t resist sharing more!
Real Weddings: Lauren + Matt
I love this dress, I love this dress, I love this dress! Annnd, now that that’s out of the way… I love the rest of Lauren and Matt’s fabulous wedding too! As a child, Lauren visited The Granary with her father for pottery workshops, and she knew that The Granary and the intimate town of New Harmony, Indiana was the perfect place to celebrate the beginning of her and Matt’s life together. The couple included many personal touches in their wedding and had lots of help from friends and family. Lauren’s lifelong neighbor made the cakes, Lauren created all of the paper goods, and her something old, borrowed, and blue was a pendant worn by her great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother in their weddings. All of these little details (and that gorgeous dress!) make this wedding so beautiful and special! Thanks to Simply Jessie Photography for sharing!
Real Weddings: Kelsey + Andrew
Kelsey and Andrew’s Indiana wedding was an elegantly rustic event at Heston Hills Banquet Hall. Kelsey (who is a wedding photographer herself!) and her friends and family created tons of handmade details (the favors, invitations, place cards, centerpieces… and the list goes on!) to make their wedding really personal. My absolute favorite details are the weathered window pane table seating charts! Such a fabulous way to incorporate the couple’s rustic vision. A beautiful event with beautiful photos by Ada Photography!
