We’re firm believers in elegant simplicity, and that’s precisely what Esther and Jeremy’s LA restaurantwedding delivers! In these sweet and sophisticated images from Alders Photography, what stands out most is the lush cream and green florals by Dandelion Ranch. All other decor is kept minimal for both the ceremony and reception at LA’s mod and earthy Campanile Restaurant. Esther stuns in a column-style Vera Wang gown that features an ecru-colored embellishment on the waist, defining the dress with an extra-special touch we adore! Likewise, the understated boutonniere on Jeremy’s Ermenegildo Zegna suit is a classic but stylish detail. This day was perfect for the bride and groom, who just wanted to celebrate and enjoy the occasion surrounded by family and friends.

Chic San Francisco Cafe Wedding
We are head over heels for Lauren and Taylor’s chic blue-and-white San Francisco wedding! Lauren, a wedding planner herself, immediately began pulling together ideas after Taylor’s proposal, so that—with the help of Ryder Sloan Events—they could have an outdoor affair to remember. She started with the location, Stable Cafe. The urban garden space was a great backdrop for a collection of blue-and-white ginger jars filled with florals from Mandolin Flowers. Plumosa fern garlands and cafe lights added an air of sophistication, while classic arrangements of hydrangeas, anemones, and roses accented tables covered with Swiss dot linens from La Tavola. Lauren wore her cousin’s couture Carolina Herrera Bridal gown with embellished blue Manolo Blahnik heels, a Christmas gift from Taylor; her bouquet was wrapped with long pieces of vintage lace and blue velvet ribbon. Amy Nichols Special Events ensured the day ran smoothly from start to finish, which included transforming the courtyard after the ceremony into a luxe space for dinner and dancing, along with lounging areas outfitted with seating from One True Love Vintage Rentals. Later in the evening, guests sipped warm spiked cocktails from the DIY coffee bar, the perfect accompaniment to a salted caramel wedding cake from Cake Coquette—the design of the dessert mimicked the ginger jar pattern. We are just in total love with all of these fabulous images from Julie Mikos!
Natural + Ethereal Napa Wedding
Gabrielle and Chris wanted to get married somewhere that felt enchanted and once they saw the natural beauty and elegance of Meadowood Napa Valley they knew it was the right place! Their outdoor ceremony was held in front of a marvelous birch altar adorned with hanging sweet pea and although they did not have a bridal party, their adorable puppy, Lola, acted as their ring bearer. The flowers by Cherries Flowers are the epitome of natural elegance and included garden roses, ranunculus, sweet peas, jasmine, and astilbe. I’m absolutely in love with their unique escort cards: a sparkling display of natural crystals and gemstones wrapped in copper wire and set upon a bed of moss. Each table had an explanation of the spiritual meaning of its stone, the head table being Amethyst which symbolized “pure and true emotional love.” Enjoy these incredible photos by the amazing Gia Canali!
Real Weddings: Melissa + Jason
Melissa and Jason were married at the Luxe Hotel in Bel Air. It was a modern and sophisticated event designed by JL Designs full of fresh elements like succulents, quartz vessels, white and green florals, and chevrons. Melissa’s gorgeous bouquet was a mix of white florals like peonies and orchids as well as succulents. The ballroom of the hotel was draped in white fabric and tables were decorated with incredibly sleek arrangements of lush white florals as well as succulents and viburnum in textured white and quartz vessels. I’m so in love with absolutely everything about this wedding and all the gorgeous photos by Meg Perotti – it is easy to see why this wedding was one of Meg’s favorites of the year!
Contemporary Tribeca Loft Wedding
This uber-mod, chic wedding held at New York’s Three Sixty in Tribeca, is a study in monochromatic palettes and sleek sophistication! All white flowers with pops of green from Ovando keep the vibe romantic and contemporary, with planning from the always flawless Ang Weddings & Events. For the Buddhist ceremony, the bride chose a romantic beaded gown by Monique Lhuillier with a Pronovias belt, while her single bridesmaid wore a white dress with a similar silhouette from Badgley Mischka. Of course, we adore that the couple’s dog participated in the festivities, dressed in his own tux found on eBay! These images from Susan Stripling are just stunning!
Chic Black + White Wedding
Ahh we just adore the crisp, clean look of Emily and Chris’s modern but timeless black, white, and gray wedding! A classic church ceremony at Church of St. Cecilia gets a mod twist with white bouquets trimmed with black and white striped ribbon streamers from Sadie’s Couture Floral & Event Styling—we love the gorgeous poppies! Black bridesmaids dresses from J.Crew are a perfect contrast with Emily’s Vera Wang gown and veil. We’re loving the metallic silvers and grays throughout this affair, from contemporary stationery by Amy Hunt to Emily’s sparkly Jimmy Choo heels and the silver-embellished cake by Rosa’s Cake Gallery at the reception, held at the chic Cafe Lurcat in Minneapolis. Letting the sophisticated decor at the cafe guide them, Emily and Chris opted for lots of candles interspersed with black and white details that are elegant and refreshing. We’re swooning over this perfect affair and the images from Two Bird Studio!
Casual + Sophisticated California Wedding
There’s something about California weddings that are so laid-back yet beautifully sophisticated! Becca and Solomon’s fete in San Luis Obispo is so pretty, thanks to lush bouquets and dozens and dozens of white hydrangeas from Flowers by Fluidbloom. Taupe bridesmaids dresses are natural and pretty against the landscape. And we can’t get past the fabulous flower on Becca’s Melissa Sweet gown—it’s fabulous! We hope you love these photos from Korie Lynn Photography as much as we do—see them all in the gallery!
Elegant San Francisco Mansion Wedding
Amy and Michael’s San Francisco wedding, held at The James Leary Flood Mansion in the heart of the city, is simply breathtaking! You don’t get much more romantic than a backdrop of rolling California hills, and add to that Amy’s stunner of a gown, by Vera Wang, and mod, succulent, and white flower arrangements by Birch, and you have quite an affair! We’re smitten with Amy’s wax leaf, moss, and white bud bouquet, too. Tanja Lippert Photography shared these gorgeous images of an understated, romantic ceremony, followed by a reception at which no detail was left untouched by Maxine Andrew! We love the contemporary tablescapes and the pops of gold and hot pink in the seating areas. Pardon us while we swoon over each and every gorgeous image in the gallery!
Elegant + Glamorous California Wedding
Stephanie and John’s Los Angeles wedding, captured by Milou + Olin Photography, is classic with a touch of vintage glamour, and we’re in love! We don’t know about you, but we can’t seem to peel our eyes away from Stephanie — her light and airy trumpet style gown and silver Jimmy Choo heels are seriously stunning! And how about the bridesmaids’ charcoal colored dresses? The pink sash really adds a soft pop of color to their outfits! Stephanie and John’s reception, held in a ballroom at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, is awash in sophisticated gold and pearls. How sweet are the photo table numbers? What is your favorite detail?
Elegant + Modern California Wedding
Janice and Joe’s sweet wedding is brimming with elegant sophistication, and it’s due in large part to the neutral creams and blush tones found in all the details. The ornate Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills is a beautiful modern backdrop for Janice’s intricate corset-style gown. Bridesmaids in different dresses in cream to blush tones further the monochromatic color scheme—such a romantic look! The always phenomenal Sloan Photographers documented the day from ceremony to the reception at LA’s Skirball Cultural Center, where cascading floral arrangements of white hydrangeas, blush roses, and white orchids by Dana Lee of AtelierFlower dotted the tables. Lovely couple, lovely affair!
Pretty Los Angeles Garden Wedding
We love the location of Kristy and Harnnull’s California wedding—tucked away in the gardens of Cafe Pinot in the heart of downtown LA! The couple carried the floral theme over into their invitations from It’s Amore Design + Letterpress and even used nature-inspired recipe cards for a guest book. Adrienne Gunde Photography captured the day of laid-back elegance for the couple, who had Bunch Studio and Sassy Girl Weddings & Events collaborate for chic, loose pink and green florals and reception decor that looks so pretty in the afternoon light. We think this lovely day was absolutely perfect—see it all in the gallery!
Snowy Lake Tahoe Wedding
For their Lake Tahoe nuptials, Kristi and Don really wanted one last snowfall to hit the ground, so they spent the wedding day eve wishing and hoping for nature to cooperate. “It snowed heavily the night before and cleared up the afternoon of the wedding, which made it perfect for an outside celebration under the trees!” says Kristi. Chic gray bridesmaids dresses from Priscilla of Boston were an elegant complement to Kristi’s Rivini gown. Art in Bloom Floral Wedding Designs created white, peach, and green bouquets and reception arrangements that reflected the rustic setting of the The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe while still maintaining a sophisticated vibe. We’re in awe of the beautiful photos from Sloan Photographers—the gorgeous light reflects the glow in this happy couple’s eyes!
Modern + Elegant California Wedding
Guests at Tiffany and Jonathan’s Montecito Country Club wedding were first treated to a dramatic floral installation by Modern Day Design—inspired by an art exhibit the bride saw at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York—and champagne before taking their seats. Tiffany stunned in a beaded Elie Saab gown as she walked down the aisle, carrying a white peony bouquet, hand-in-hand with Jonathan. After a “somber, ceremonial, romantic” vow exchange, says the bride, everyone switched to party mode, enjoying dancing, cocktails, and cake from Montecito Confections Bakery. From beginning to (late-night) end, Lacie Hansen Photography did a beautiful job of capturing every detail!
Soft + Modern Los Angeles Wedding
Laura and Brian let the chic vibes of the city drive their LA wedding, held at the modern Skirball Cultural Center. Soft, clustered floral arrangements—including hydrangeas, dahlias, and roses—from Yamaguchi’s Flowers dotted the outdoor reception tables, with everything meticulously planned by Master Plans Events & Designs. Laura’s flowy Vera Wang gown literally made us gasp, and we have no doubt she twirled the full ruffled skirt while dancing to tunes from Elegant Event Entertainment. At the end of their perfect night, Brian announced he wanted to do it all again! Luckily he—and we—have these breathtaking photos from Hazelnut Photography to remember the day.
Sophisticated Black + White Wedding
Gorgeous Santa Monica California is the setting for Taryn and John’s sophisticated soirée. Their modern, glam ceremony and reception was held at the Casa Del Mar, just steps from the Santa Monica Pier. Taryn’s beautiful custom-designed gown and peep toe Christian Louboutins? Swoon! We are completely in love with all the black and white details including the stunning florals by La Fleur by Tracy and the perfectly chic cake from Vanilla Bake Shop. Sit back and enjoy these gorgeous images from the fabulous Erin Hearts Court!
Naturally Chic Beachfront Wedding
The stunning L’Auberge Del Mar is the backdrop for Megan and Chad’s chic California beachfront wedding. Equal parts casual and sophisticated, the couple echoed the natural beauty of the resort with their earthy blue and green color palette. Jennifer Cole Florals did a phenomenal job with the florals, including blue and green hydrangea, orchids, and thistle nestled among dried grape vine as the main centerpieces at the reception, which featured tables named after their favorite vacation destinations, complete with their passport stamp pictures! We are head over heels for these beautiful images from Joielala!
Modern Chicago Wedding
We’ve got a beautiful city wedding for you today, just wait until you see it! Cameron and Kristopher were married at the super-chic W City Center in downtown Chicago and then the party moved to Sepia where guests dined and drank to celebrate the newlyweds. Lots of love went into this wedding, from the flowers by their friend Beth Gill, owner of The Aspen Branch in Colorado, calligraphy by the bride’s cousin, Calligraphy by Cristine, and can you believe that Cameron’s 85-year-old grandmother made her gown…without a pattern? We love when the bride and groom have talented friends who all pitch in to create a day that is unique to the couple and their loved ones. Thanks to T & S Hughes Photography for these fantastic photos and to SQN Events for putting it all together!
Pretty + Modern Smog Shoppe Wedding
The Smog Shoppe in Culver City, California always attracts couples with an incredible sense of style, so it was a perfect fit for Pam and John’s intimate and natural wedding. Since Pam and John are both designers and Pam’s dad is a florist, there’s no question that the couple’s personality was present in all of the details of their big day. I love how they infused their own sense of style into an already fabulous venue with details like hand-screened wedding invitations and custom stamps! We love how completely in love these two are – they are positively radiant in these gorgeous images from Hugh Forte Photography!
Intimate Vineyard Wedding
For their wine country wedding at Solage Calistoga, Natalie and Robert envisioned an intimate celebration with their family and closest friends. The couple crafted that celebration with simple, all-white floral arrangements by Kate Stanley and sweet handmade details, including truffles made by the mother of the bride. Closer To Love Photography beautifully captured every detail of the day—even the rainbow that came out after the couple’s rainy ceremony!
Real Wedding: Diana + Michael
Inspiration for weddings can come from many different places and the inspiration for Diana and Michael’s gorgeous Los Angeles wedding at the Hotel Intercontinental was Diana’s stunning, light, and airy Vera Wang gown. The rest of the details and decor followed suit, incorporating cloud-like baby’s breath as the main flower for all the centerpieces, the stunning aisle garlands and flower girl wreath, and as a delicate pillow beneath their cake. We absolutely adore each of these airy and ethereal images from Hazelnut Photography!
Real Weddings: Christine + Eugene
Christine and Eugene held a classic, fresh and modern wedding at the San Francisco Ferry Building, using the same beautiful space for their ceremony and reception. The couple used one of our favorite ideas – seating in the round – for the ceremony, and as guests enjoyed cocktails the space was completely transformed for the gorgeous reception featuring stunning orchid and tulip centerpieces by Poppy’s Petalworks. Christine is just gorgeous in her mother’s lace wedding gloves and Vera Wang Luxe gown, and I’m in love with the beautiful images from Julie Mikos!

Romantic + Elegant LA Hotel Wedding
Natives of Los Angeles, Michelle and Miguel wanted a spot for their wedding that didn’t feel like typical LA. The Legendary Park Plaza Hotel was the perfect venue for that, with its dramatic staircases, ceilings, and windows. The Dainty Lion helped Michelle and Miguel plan a celebration that was uniquely theirs, which included lush peony bouquets, baby’s breath topiaries, and pretty blooms in glass vases along tables peppered with gold sequin linens. Bridesmaids in taupe dresses were elegant, especially standing next to Michelle in a lace and tulle Pronovias gown from Bellasposa. We love Michelle’s blue Badgley Mischka shoes with sparkling brooches! Romantic touches such as floral stationery from Wedding Paper Divas and feather accents on place settings matches the drama of the location! A dessert table at the reception featured macaroons from Sweet and Saucy Shop, topped off with a cake designed by Hotcakes Bakes. We’re swooning over every detail in these photos from Love, Janet Photography!
Pretty Pastel LA Wedding
Liz and Jason’s elegant wedding completely eschews a modernist LA vibe for pretty pastels and soft touches that shine in these images from Christine Farah Photography! We’re enamored with the airy layers of Liz’s bridal gown, paired with delicate pearl jewelry and a romantic updo. Soft pink bridesmaids dresses set the tone for flowers in the same color family by Milieu Florals. With CCL Weddings and Events onboard to lead the planning and design, Liz and Jason created the perfect day for them and their friends and family. Following the ceremony at Los Angeles Full Gospel Church, the lovely Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at The Music Center played host to the reception. There, the couple took part in a tea ceremony to pay homage to their heritage. Pink chevron and vintage touches created a fairytale space for dinner, dancing, and a luscious dessert from Cakery Bakery. This affair couldn’t be more gorgeous. See it all right here!
Pink + White Outdoor Wedding
What a picture-perfect Los Angeles wedding Lynn and Steve had! We’d never guess this pretty pink and white affair is set in the heart of LA, with soft blooms from Stems Florist festooning the setting at Maguire Gardens, where the ceremony was held, and Cafe Pinot, site of the reception! Our friends at Minted contributed elegant stationery, and Caroline of Serenity Events helped Lynn and Steve coordinate the day of the wedding. Bridesmaids wore short light pink dresses from J.Crew, the perfect complement to Lynn’s stunning Monique Lhuillier gown. And we can’t leave out Steve, handsome in a Black by Vera Wang suit! We love the mod look of Lynn’s silver snakeskin Jimmy Choo heels, too. The outdoor soiree offered plenty of great natural light for Esther Sun to photograph it perfectly. We hear at the end of the night, Lynn and Steve surprised guests with a visit from the In-N-Out Burger Cookout Trailer—a delicious finish to the flawless event! See it all in the gallery!
Dramatic LA Rooftop Wedding
Charles’ and Brianna’s downtown Los Angeles wedding is full of elegance and sophistication! The couple chose the rooftop of The Los Angeles Athletic Club for their ceremony, to which Brianna wore a structured gown with a mod silhouette. Bridesmaids chose their own vintage-inspired gowns in the taupe-gold family, and beading on the dresses made sure they shined in the city’s afternoon light! Pink and gold flowers mixed with subtle baby’s breath from Rosebud Floral Design dressed up the gorgeous ballroom, and the wedding went off without a hitch thanks to Whitney Wing Drake of Wish Wonder Dream. These gorgeous photos from B&G Photography have us swooning at the old world glamour, right down to the gold wedding cake draped in pearls from Porto’s Bakery & Cafe. See all of the fabulous details in the gallery!
Flower Shop Gardening Engagement Session
Connie and Ted’s adorable engagement session is so unexpected for Los Angeles—there’s no trace of the city, just lots of hearty succulents, a little potting soil, and so much love! These two genuinely enjoy playing and hanging out together, and it’s so clear in these fab photos from Caroline Tran. We’re sure that the couple who gardens together, stays together!
Elegant Los Angeles Wedding
We are smitten with the lovely details of Kristen and Kevin’s Los Angeles wedding at the Skirball Cultural Center! Lush pink and white flowers from G Fiori Floral Design are soft and pretty against Kristen’s Anne Barge gown from The White Dress. The ribbon and rhinestone belt of the gown was the inspiration for the gray bridesmaids dresses from J.Crew. Tall pink and green topiary arrangements and a dessert table filled with sweets surrounds a tall white confection from Cake Crumbs have us drooling. Wish Wonder Dream Wedding Coordination ensured that the day went smoothly, just like these images from Heidi Ryder Photography show!

Jean and Dan’s lovely and modern California wedding at The Ebell of Los Angeles features great details we’re thrilled to share with you! Let’s start with those fabulous coral bridesmaids dresses from Anthropologie—the tea length is flattering on everyone, and we adore the color! Jean chose an ethereal Vera Wang gown to pair with Jimmy Choo ballet flats—genius and mandatory for comfort and a day spent on your feet. Live. Love. Create. Elegant Garden Wedding
We love a gorgeous spring wedding, and this one fills the bill perfectly. Stephanie and Jeremy’s wedding at the Hotel Bel Air was held in the garden beneath a gazebo draped with lush flowers and greenery by Flower Wild. The flowy light taupe of the Amsale bridesmaids dresses are elegant next to Stephanie’s ethereal Monique Lhuillier gown. We love the look of organic elements like tree bark and moss and twinkling lights shown in these photos from Gia Canali Photography. This is such a lovely, gorgeous affair!
