Gorgeous does not even begin to describe Carmela and Lemi—these two are a positively stunning couple! The shy twosome danced around a relationship for several months after meeting, but finally worked up the nerve to begin dating and fell head over heels in love. With the help of his sister (who just so happens to be the talented Damaris Mia), romantic Lemi planned a surprise proposal in Santa Barbara, complete with a box surrounded by rose petals, and the rest is history! We can’t get enough of their beautiful, light-filled engagement session at San Diego’s Balboa Park. Lemi is dapper in Calvin Klein, and Carmela radiant in Adrianna Papell. If there ever was a match made in heaven, these two are indeed it. Enjoy these lovely images from Damaris Mia!

Elegant Socially Distant Wedding Inspiration
Today’s wedding inspiration comes from the idea that downsizing your guest list and implementing social distancing measures into your big day does not mean that you have to downsize your vision! Magnolia Celebrates shows us ways to elevate your wedding style, such as using smaller, more intimate tables and creating unique tablescapes or place settings for each, using stately plate covers for a plated meal, or displaying a faux wedding cake throughout the event. The team behind today’s post was inspired by the old Spanish architecture of the venue. They incorporated shades of mauve, brick, cappuccino, and sage into the tablescapes, each table getting a unique set of linens and gorgeous florals by Flowers By Yona. So many wonderful ideas from this shoot and these photos by Caroline Willett are sure to give you lots of ideas for your own wedding, whether it will be in the time of social distancing or not!
Elegant Charleston Wedding at Governor Thomas Bennett House
Sugar, spice, and everything really nice sums up Jamie and Casey’s South Carolina shindig. The Charlotte couple wanted something more quintessentially southern, so they traveled a bit further south into Charleston and fell in love with The Governor Thomas Bennett House. They were spellbound by its classic look; white exterior with black shutters, and its all-in-one manicured garden perfect for the ceremony and reception. This accommodating setup can go with any style or color palette, but we are totally fawning over the soft pastel wedding aesthetic that Ashley Wenz with Boutique Planning made come to life. Reception tables were kept light and airy with dove gray and blush linens from Snyder Rentals. To add some oomph, weathered farmhouse tables sans linens were the ideal complement to add some texture to the space. Before we go on and on, we’re just going to let Ava Moore Photography do the rest of the storytelling about this beautiful day.
Romantic Estate Wedding Inspiration
Though the setting may be in Southern California, the Villa Del Sol D’Oro transports us to Tuscany with its romantic European estate feel. Sweetest Love Events designed an elegant outdoor soiree with a beautiful mix of vintage elements and muted tones. Sibyl Sophia Floral Design created a showstopping bouquet and pastel garden-style arrangements for the alfresco reception and sweetheart tables, whose buttery tones echoed the villa’s graceful exterior. The stylish couple embraced the glamour with a sophisticated pale dove gray Willowby by Watters gown from Mary Me Bridal and classic tuxedo from The Black Tux . We are completely smitten with this dreamy wedding shoot photographed by Devon Donnahoo Photography!
Luxe + Feminine Marie Antoinette Wedding Inspiration
A sensuous, feminine feel meets couture fashion in this spectacular fine art shoot inspired by Marie Antoinette from Lisa Blume Photography. Though you may think we’re transported to Paris, instead we’re in the heart of Washington DC at the Anderson House. This 50-room mansion is truly fit for a queen, and La Fleur du Jour used gold accents, lush florals, lavish desserts, and an abundance of accessories to enhance the setting’s European flair. Details such as an intricate antique ring box, vintage-inspired shoes, feathers, and lace transport you to another era, a time of decadent fashion and extravagant living. The stunning Cari Funkhouser dons couture gowns from Elie Saab, See by Chloe, and Modern Trousseau, and truly embodies the spirit of the ill-fated queen. And of course, there is cake. Fair warning: you may need to pick your jaw up off the floor after laying eyes on the exquisite images from Lisa Blume Photography!
Elegant Southern Wedding Inspiration
We couldn’t think of a better start to the week than this ridiculously gorgeous inspiration shoot set at Atlanta’s picturesque Swan Coach House! Lindsay Coletta outdid herself designing florals loaded with luscious blooms and greenery in a mix of blush, mauve, buttery yellow, and apricot, and the result is a perfect mix of elegance and romance. Simone Gebsattel complemented the natural beauty of the estate with exquisite details such as upholstered seating from Crush Event Rentals, a charcuterie spread from Sun in My Belly, and delicate calligraphy details by Rachel Anne. Prepare to feast your eyes on the absolutely exquisite imagery from Alexis June Weddings!
Elegant Tampa Ballroom Wedding
Elegance and romance were the theme of the day for Kara and Lance’s winter black tie wedding at Tampa’s The Vinoy Renaissance. The couple were married on a gorgeous Florida day at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, one of the most stunning cathedrals in the area. After their traditional ceremony, guests moved to the Vinoy’s Mezzanine for cocktails overlooking the water and a reception in the grand ballroom where amber uplighting created a magical display in the stately hall. Events in Bloom created centerpieces in neutral tones of ivory and soft peach with roses, peonies, ranunculus, and stock. Kara and Lance opted for a sweetheart table, and it was a true centerpiece of the reception, with glimmering sequin linens and an elegant garland centerpiece of roses and eucalyptus. A sophisticated palette of warm metallics carried throughout, from beaded Adrianna Papell bridesmaids dresses to champagne bottle place card holders. Of course, it’s the personal touches that make a wedding special. Guests signed wine corks in lieu of a guest book, and Lance—a baseball player—wore Batman cleats in his Major League debut, and donned a special gift from Kara, monogrammed Batman cuff links. We are absolutely smitten with every detail, from Kara’s lace Girl with a Serious Dream dressing robe to the sparkler exit and vintage Rolls Royce. Prepare to fall in love with every beautiful image captured by Justin DeMutiis Photography!
Organic Beach Wedding
Heather and Davis’ Florida nuptials had us at hello! From the beach setting of Seaside’s Lyceum Lawn to the subtle, casual elegance of the bridesmaids’ Joanna August gowns in shades from blush to mauve, every single detail added up to organic beachside chic! Shelby Peaden Events worked with the couple to bring their vision of a natural beach wedding with a slightly rustic, wild touch to life, and Myrtie Blue created bouquets and centerpieces with unique arrangements of scabiosa pods, magnolia leaves, and snowy white blooms. For a final touch of greenery, Bake My Day added beautiful olive leaves to their tiered confection. We always adore when a couple includes their furbabies in the festivities, and love that Heather and Davis’ little one walked with them up the aisle as a family after the ceremony! Heather is the picture-perfect beach bride with simple yet sophisticated hair and makeup accompanying her Amsale gown from I Do Bridal Couture. We’re swept away by these lovely images from Robert J Hill!
Lowcountry Garden Wedding Inspiration
Be still our hearts! There may be no city quite as charming as Charleston, with its horse-drawn carriages, historic city center, and seaside romance. This gorgeous editorial for Cottage Hill Magazine‘s Homecoming Issue brings to life the quintessential Lowcountry coastal feel. Set at RiverOaks Charleston, where Charleston’s signature Spanish moss abounds, abundant floral from Fern Studio and gorgeous hand-lettering from A Lettered Life bring a classic Southern garden wedding to life. Kaitlin Holland designed the scene, selecting a neutral color palette of the palest of pastels, bold gray linen, and lush greenery. A lettered backdrop for the cake table and , and chic bar cart styling add whimsy, as do the adorable flower girls and ring bearers running happily about! Ethereal gowns from Bella Bridesmaids and White Dresses Boutique billow in the soft Atlantic breeze, reminding us of the beauty that is this seaside venue. We are utterly smitten with each and every image from the amazing Buffy Dekmar!
Destination Wedding in Park City Utah
Several months ago we shared Maryam and Josh’s Salt Lake City garden wedding, and today we have the huge honor of revealing Maryam’s gorgeous sister Mondi’s wedding to her handsome groom Cory! The sister’s unique personalities shine through in their choice of wedding, and Mondi’s is all about sophisticated glamour. Their destination wedding was set at The St. Regis Deer Valley, surrounded by mountains, and the couple worked with Allison Baddley of La Fete Floral & Events to plan and design an Old-Hollywood meets glamorous-rustic wedding. The ceremony provided the perfect occasion to incorporate Mondi’s Persian heritage. The Sofreh Aghd—a beautiful spread of items meant to symbolize what the couple wished for in their marriage—took center stage, and a Persian rug graced the ceremony aisle. The reception entrance featured a unique seating chart display: a 10 foot moss wall showcasing a wall of mirrors directing guests to their seats. Tables featured a mix of richly-colored arrangements (how gorgeous are those burgundy orchids?) and swaths of greenery echoing the surroundings. We are completely smitten with this entire day, and adore each image from Heather Nan Photography!
Paris Ballroom Wedding
We couldn’t think of anything more romantic than a Paris destination wedding and Sayaka and Shaokai’s wedding at the heart-stoppingly gorgeous Shangri-La Hotel is pure magic. The couple reside in Hong Kong, and fell in love while she was living in New York, so it was only fitting that they celebrate with 60 of their nearest and dearest with an intimate soiree with travel-themed details. Sayaka and Shaokai worked with Fete in France to plan their wedding from afar, and Estelle Preston created the gorgeous florals adorning the Shangri-La’s ornate ballroom. Sakaya brought many personal touches to their day, hand-making fascinators for her bridesmaids and personalizing luggage tags as favors. We simply adore the iconic Parisian landmarks and classic elegance in the stunning images from One and Only Paris Photography!
Romantic Deer Valley Wedding
They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck, and a beautiful autumn mist in Park City created a mystical backdrop for Sierra and Andrew’s romantic Deer Valley nuptials, so we think they are due for a lifetime of good fortune! Sierra is radiant in a Monique Lhuillier gown in the very palest of blush, with glamorous hair and makeup from Versa Artistry. We adore the warm palette of orange, amber, garnet, and burgundy—the deep colors are a perfect pairing for the ballroom at Stein Eriksen Lodge. Soirée Productions designed the reception around the rich colors in the autumn florals from Decoration Inc and the centerpiece of the reception was a stunning cake with fall foliage! Enjoy the beautiful images from Pepper Nix Photography!
Elegant + Rustic Charleston Wedding
The sweeping oak trees of Charleston’s Boone Hall Plantation were the perfect setting for Ashley and Dana’s wedding. Rustic glamour at its finest, A Charleston Bride utterly transformed the Cotton Dock with billowing swaths of sheer fabric, elegant chandeliers, fluffy flowers, and glittering candlelight, and a chic, modern cake from Delicious Desserts set atop a unique rustic cake stand. Our favorite detail from this true Southern soiree? In a nod to the Lowcountry location, bags of grits were handstamped as favors. We simply love these beautiful images from Virgil Bunao!
Intimate + Elegant Chicago Wedding
Colleen and Mark’s Chicago wedding is indescribably elegant. At no time is the city more beautiful than in the summer, and the gorgeous day was a perfect complement to the gorgeous couple and their wedding party. Colleen is resplendent in a lace Ines Di Santo gown from Dimitras Bridal Couture, and her maids donned chic champagne Jenny Yoo Social Collection gowns. The extraordinary Preston Bradley room of the Chicago Cultural Center was the setting for their July nuptials, and the architectural gem’s Tiffany Dome was incorporated into the custom stationery by Magnificent Milestones. A mix of lush teacup florals and elegant garland-style centerpieces with a sea of candles by Exquisite Designs adorned the tables. The fabulous Lori Stephenson of LOLA Event Productions went above and beyond to both curate the details of the day and insure the event with off without a hitch, right down to duct taping the floor when the jubilant reception dancing literally cracked it open! We adore each of these soft and lovely images from Annie Parish Photography!
Elegant + Romantic Salt Lake City Wedding
Maryam and Josh’s Utah wedding is absolutely breathtaking! Held at Sandy’s stunning La Caille restaurant, the natural elegance of the venue took a central role in the day. The couple’s interfaith ceremony was held at the base of the Wasatch mountains, alongside the vineyard, and featured customs from both her Persian and his Jewish cultures. After a patio cocktail hour, guests were escorted to their tables with champagne flutes adorned with mint, blackberry, and a table number scroll. La Fete accented the draping greenery of the surroundings with lush eucalyptus and ivy, rich floral in shades of green and burgundy, and glowing candlelight from silver candelabras. Burgundy dahlias and chocolate lace flowers add a pop of deep color to the greenery garlands and eucalyptus sprigs at each place setting. The traditional Sofreh Aghd featured items personally selected by Maryam’s grandmother and mother in the bazaars in Iran, and of course, everyone joined in for the Jewish Horah! The entire day is absolute perfection, beautifully captured by Jacque Lynn Photography!
Elegant Santa Barbara Wedding
With the beautiful Santa Barbara coastline as the backdrop and the elegant setting of the Bacara Resort & Spa, you know you have a stage set for perfection, and Brittany and Ahdev’s wedding does not disappoint! Their gorgeous outdoor affair features the most stunning blooms from Camellia Floral Design—dahlias, fluffy roses and hydrangea, and a lovely ribbon-tied bouquet that perfectly complement Brittany’s Romona Keveza gown. We love the chic white linens from La Tavola against deep wooden estate tables, set beneath string lights for the romantic reception. Each and every image from Jasmine Star has us swooning!
Golden Woodland Winter Wedding
Kelsey describes her wedding to Matthew as “sparkly rustic” and “golden woodland” and we couldn’t agree more! With the backdrop of a snowy winter day in Cleveland, these two tied the knot at the lovely Club at Hillbrook in Chagrin Falls, which lent a woodsy, rustic feel to the day. Our favorite detail? The gorgeous winter bouquet of pinecones, dusty miller, andwhite roses! Kelsey loved her bouquet, and it’s easy to see why! The chic winter theme continued for the reception, which featured gold brushed pinecones, golden striped linens, and lovely rustic florals by Blooms by Plantscaping. We adore the champagne lace Adrianna Papell bridesmaids dresses, a perfect complement to Kelsey’s sophisticated strapless Heidi Elnora gown. Shi-Shi Events planned and styled the day to perfection, and we are in love with all of these beautiful images from Lane Baldwin Photography!
Chic + Glamorous Chicago Wedding
Speechless is the word to describe how we feel about Shannon and Matt’s stunning Chicago wedding! These images from Emilia Jane leave us breathless from beginning to end, starting with the strapless column gown from Manuel Mota for Pronovias that Shannon paired with a long, simple veil from Mira Couture and a headpiece she made herself from a Nadri necklace. Shannon’s modern princess look was topped off with gold platform Brian Atwood shoes. Soft peony and garden rose blooms in pink, peach, and cream by Vale of Enna Flowers created a romantic atmosphere. Custom sequin linens by Ryan Turner of Stemline Creative add a sophisticated shot of glamour, and the centerpiece of the setup–a tinsel chandelier by James McDermott–had the bride swooning most of all. “Everything dazzled all night as the light twinkled off of the tinsel and bounced on to the walls,” says Shannon. Changing out of her gown into a bespoke reception dress by Azeeza, Shannon joined Matt on the dance floor for a non-traditional first dance before cutting into their gold leaf-accented cake by Tipsycakes. We’re in total agreement with Shannon when asked what our favorite part of this beautiful wedding is: all the sparkle!
Elegant + Classic Ballroom Wedding
Lovely is the only word that comes close to adequately describing Laura and Kevin’s St. Louis wedding at Coronado Ballroom. Soft pastel blooms such as roses and hydrangeas by Tina Barerra of The Special Event Florist created a romantic atmosphere at the ceremony and reception. Simply and Forever helped Laura and Kevin plan the day, which the couple wanted to be “classy, elegant, and full of personality.” The gorgeous coral color of Laura’s single bridesmaid dress from Amsale is statement-making simplicity at its finest. Along with her column-style Monique Lhuillier gown, Laura carried a hand-tied bouquet of garden roses, mini calla lilies, spray roses, and ranunculus. We love the unique touches woven into the reception, too, like circular dinner menus from Two Blue Doors and a simple cake with a classic monogram, provided by the Coronado. Enjoy all of these gorgeous images from the ever-fabulous Clary Pfeiffer Fine Art Photographer.
Elegant Black Tie Nashville Wedding
Be still our hearts! This Nashville wedding from Kristyn Hogan is, in one word, magical. After a ceremony at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Chelsea and Beau selected the intimate backdrop of Chelsea’s family home for their reception. As a designer, Chelsea had an elegant and refined vision for their event, and with the help of wedding planner Elizabeth James and Chelsea’s talented mother, her ideas were brought to life. The reception tent was overflowing with greenery (including handmade moss globes hanging from the ceiling), dramatic uplighting, and tabletops overflowing with magnolia runners and stunning white florals by Jim Knestrick. Personal details abound, with Beau’s family crest on the stationery—printed by his company, South Central Thermography—and on the drool-worthy cake from Dessert Designs which featured the family crest and sugar flowers, both handmade by Chelsea’s mother. We are completely smitten, right down to the white handkerchief exit, a tradition in Chelsea’s family!
Pink + Gold Miami Wedding
Claudia and Greg chose the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove in Miami for their wedding festivities because the South Florida location represents their family roots but the look of the venue called to mind their former loft in Denver and their current home in Brooklyn. It’s a gorgeous estate by the water, which was a lovely site for an outdoor ceremony. Claudia looked amazing in a Watters gown from RK Bridal, paired with vintage jewelry and blush shoes from BHLDN that remind us of Old Hollywood. Lush blooms of peonies, hydrangeas and roses from Glady’s Flowers are a classic and elegant choice, and we love the earthiness of the dusty miller that’s mixed in Claudia’s bouquet. Thanks to the one-stop help of Exquisite Productions, who coordinated the wedding day, catering, rentals, linens, and DJ for their laid-back reception, Claudia and Greg didn’t have to worry about the details of their day. All of these images from Tega Photography are gorgeous, but we especially love the romantic first look shots at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens!

Chic Beach Engagement Session
Tammy and Stan’s breezy and impossibly romantic San Diego engagement session is the perfect farewell to summer! As the CEO and founder of FitChick, Tammy travels around the globe for work, and a business trip to the south of France presented Stan the perfect opportunity to surprise Tammy by popping the question. Upon their return home, the couple decided to recreate that magical afternoon with a pretty St. Tropez-inspired engagement session! HauteFetes designed a perfect sunset picnic against the backdrop of the picturesque California coastline, complete with a white kite, market tote, and the cutest naked cake from The Crimson Cake. A mod bikini from Bare Necessities (complete with floppy hat, naturally!) and gorgeous blooms from Blooms by Breesa Lee add to the romantic, French mood. Each image from Booth Photographics is simply irresistible!

Romantic + Intimate San Diego Wedding
Jill and David’s elegant San Diego wedding is intimate and family-oriented, and that makes for some gorgeous, laid-back smiles in these photos from Samuel Lippke Studios. Jill, naturally, takes center stage in a lace gown from Claire Pettibone—always a stunning choice! The outdoor ceremony is punctuated by classic all white bouquets by LaVonne Crawford of Adorations Botanical Artistry. At the reception at The Grand Del Mar, styled by Thomas Bui Lifestyle, shimmering beaded garland hanging in trees, silvery-gray linens, and plenty of lush white blooms and candlelight create a romantic atmosphere. We are absolutely swooning over this entire affair—see it all in the gallery!
Jennifer Dery is one of those photographers whose images never fail to take our breath away. They are timeless and stunning, yet comfortable and intimate—attributed to over 10 years of experience as a photographer and her knack for capturing all the special little moments that happen over the course of a couple’s wedding day. We’re just crazy about Jen and are thrilled to share some of her story with you today.
Ombre Wedding Inspiration
I love the delicate, romantic feel of ombre elements, and this gorgeous inspiration shoot from Eventity Inc highlights ombre in the most beautiful way! The Darlington House in La Jolla was the backdrop for a beautiful bridal look and tablescape in a classic pink, white, and sage color palette. The fresh, clean tabletop features flowers from Sweet Pea Flower Company and soft ombre menus and place cards from Cali Cards, and to top it off there is the most amazing cake from Hey There Cupcakes! Sit back and enjoy the fabulous images from Bryan N. Miller Photography!
Real Weddings: Jill + Luke
Jill and Luke had an elegantly preppy wedding at Hotel del Coronado in northern California. Luke and his groomsmen wore gray pants, navy sport coats and uber-preppy Vineyard Vines ties, while the bridesmaids wore short navy Jenny Yoo dresses in various styles. The elegant white and gold reception was positively stunning, and my favorite detail is the place setting – clear chargers rimmed in gold, revealing a doily framed menu underneath. Such a fabulous detail that worked to compliment the stunning florals by Kathy Wright & Company. A gorgeous day with beautiful photos by the always amazing Jennifer Dery!
Real Weddings: Lily + Bobby
Lily and Bobby were married at the gorgeous Santaluz Club in San Diego. The venue provided lots of inspiration for them and their wedding planner, Thomas Bui, created a beautiful and romantic event with just a pinch of rustic thrown in. Any event that incorporates big fluffy peonies and succulents is for sure to be something I love and the florals by Adorations Botanical Artistry certainly did not disappoint. These photos by Vallentyne Photography are gorgeous and yet again make me long for my own California wedding!
Real Weddings: Emily + Rodrigo
Although Emily and Rodrigo were married at San Diego’s The Prado at Balboa Park in front of almost 280 of their friends and family, the way they look at each other in these photos it’s like there wasn’t anyone there but the two of them. I adore all the succulents (check out the arbor covered in them!) that Adrianne Smith used throughout the event, including some smaller potted ones on the tables that guests were able to take home. Both beautiful and green! Thanks to Jennifer Dery for sharing these beautiful photos.
