Sophisticated and ethereal, this inspiration shoot is all about Old World elegance. Joy Proctor brought the glamour and mystery of the Middle East to life, with lanterns, hand lettering from Julie Song Ink, and fabulous gold jewelry to pair with an absolutely stunning Amanda Wakeley gown. An elegant bouquet of green hellebores—tied with Silk & Willow ribbon—is an unexpected and unique choice, the soft petals perfectly contrast with the gown’s geometric beading and Kalyn’s dramatic hair and makeup by Luna Bella. We are utterly in love with these gorgeous images from Kina Wicks!

Elegant Socially Distant Wedding Inspiration
Today’s wedding inspiration comes from the idea that downsizing your guest list and implementing social distancing measures into your big day does not mean that you have to downsize your vision! Magnolia Celebrates shows us ways to elevate your wedding style, such as using smaller, more intimate tables and creating unique tablescapes or place settings for each, using stately plate covers for a plated meal, or displaying a faux wedding cake throughout the event. The team behind today’s post was inspired by the old Spanish architecture of the venue. They incorporated shades of mauve, brick, cappuccino, and sage into the tablescapes, each table getting a unique set of linens and gorgeous florals by Flowers By Yona. So many wonderful ideas from this shoot and these photos by Caroline Willett are sure to give you lots of ideas for your own wedding, whether it will be in the time of social distancing or not!
French Garden Inspiration in Washington
A backdrop of verdant green climbing ivy and dreamy painterly florals would play a muse for any impressionist artist, so it’s no wonder that Indigo Event Design chose the stunning gardens and chateau of Monet Vineyards for this Claude Monet-inspired shoot. BLUE Floral Company created a pastel rainbow of locally-sourced florals to paint the outdoor ceremony space and stunning bouquet that is worthy of Monet’s brush itself. Lush centerpieces of coral and butter yellow peonies, lavender scabiosa, and dusty blush roses sit atop a french blue table, with just the right touch of regal elegance from gold flatware and chargers. Romantic and intimate, these photos by RTFaith Photography prove that even a micro-wedding can be a fairytale wedding too!
Modern Organic Elegance Wedding Inspiration
While the color palette of a fall wedding is often full of bold shades, this neutral and natural inspiration from the lens of The Simmons Photography really caught our eye. Julia and her equally-impressive team of fellow wedding vendors took a brief departure away from the tried-and-true jewel tones and went stark white and toned down for fall. Layers of cream and ivory enhanced the pristine white room and hints of dried florals from Evergreen Flower Co. provided just the right amount of color. This color palette and design would work beautifully throughout all seasons of the year, especially if you incorporated a lively background like a sage green wall! It’s a great pop of color and you know us: we’re all for stand-out details.
Elegant Hunter Green Wedding Inspiration
Any way you spin the color green in a wedding palette, it is quite the versatile shade. From soft pastels like mint or sage to deep hues like the beautiful emerald or hunter green, you can easily use this earthy color at any wedding during any time of the year if you fancy it. It’s so timeless and we’re glad that wedding extraordinaires like Olive Fine Weddings & Events and Alexandra Lee ran on the same wavelength as us. This styled shoot has a hefty helping of green all over it, and if you take out the seemingly wintry elements to this inspo, you can readily use it all throughout the year. The luxe blooms by Willrett Flower Co. (check out the installation framing the sweetheart table!) may need some tweaking when it comes to what’s in season and what’s in your area, but no matter if you’re a spring or summer bride-to-be eyeing this shade of green, you’ll certainly get the same gorgeous effect that Alexandra snapped for us.
Classic Soft White Wedding Inspiration
Hands down, an all-white wedding is the utter classic wedding palette. It will go down in wedding inspiration history as one of our favorites here on EAD. As simple as it is, a white color scheme can make a wedding feel so luxurious and elegant and the varieties are endless. In this captivating Flora Bloom Photography editorial at the bright white Venue 1902, Pearl White Events (how perfect) opted for a soft, creamy white and ran amok with it. The venue is painted in a stark white, so gingerly toning the room down with ivory linen-clad tables dotted with blush and gold details and foliage was an exquisite idea. Punctuating it with a cleanly-done ceremony section with heaps of green space and a brick-lined lounge area makes this styled shoot chic, modern, and timeless to boot.
Romantic Estate Wedding Inspiration
Though the setting may be in Southern California, the Villa Del Sol D’Oro transports us to Tuscany with its romantic European estate feel. Sweetest Love Events designed an elegant outdoor soiree with a beautiful mix of vintage elements and muted tones. Sibyl Sophia Floral Design created a showstopping bouquet and pastel garden-style arrangements for the alfresco reception and sweetheart tables, whose buttery tones echoed the villa’s graceful exterior. The stylish couple embraced the glamour with a sophisticated pale dove gray Willowby by Watters gown from Mary Me Bridal and classic tuxedo from The Black Tux . We are completely smitten with this dreamy wedding shoot photographed by Devon Donnahoo Photography!
Elegant Inspiration at the St Regis Dubai
The luxurious The St. Regis Dubai was the inspiration for this stunning styled editorial from Olga Che of Save the Date. Selecting a color palette of taupe, ivory, and brass to echo the hotel’s grand staircase and silk-embellished walls, Olga worked with Firenze Florals to create a tablescape with an opulent, elegant feel. Blown glass chargers, a sea of taper candles in a mix of neutral and metallic colors, and a mix of low and high centerpieces with areca palm leaves graced the table, each place setting fitted with a gold palm leaf detail, a nod to the locale. The overall effect is glamorous yet understated, as are the bridal looks styled by MHG Beauty featuring both a classic ballgown and a crystal beaded mermaid gown from Vanila Wedding Boutique. The entire scene is the height of sophistication, and beautifully captured by Enchante Studio!
Ethereal + Romantic Wedding Inspiration
Set at Bluemont, Virginia’s The Retreat at Cool Spring, this exquisite inspiration shoot was created and photographed at the For The Love of Film Workshop hosted by the incredible Matoli Keely Photography. From the quiet moments while the bride is getting ready to a sunlit portrait session, each moment styled by Linda Ha Events is warm and romantic. Delicate gowns from Gossamer Vintage pair beautifully with organic florals by Nature Composed. JKW Beauty styled a lovely and soft updo and luminous makeup for a natural, elegant bridal look. A seasonless color palette of champagne, coral, ivory, slate, and warm green enhanced the natural beauty of the estate and flowing silks from Silk and Willow and Willow Knows completed the scene. We are absolutely spellbound by every image captured by Matoli Keely Photography!
Light + Airy Loft Wedding Inspiration
Loft venues are the epitome of modern urban elegance, and this gorgeous light and airy shoot at Brooklyn’s W Loft is fresh and timeless! The high ceilings and plenty of window light pair with a gorgeous green, ivory, and gold palette to bring the simplicity of the outdoors in. Whimsy Weddings created a tablescape with gold candlesticks, wild greenery, and ivory blooms, and the hints of sparkle add a festive flair to the soiree! A Monique Lhuillier gown is sophisticated and chic, and perfectly paired with the groom’s Penguin tuxedo. We adore each beautiful image captured by Merari Photography!
Dinner Party on the Beach
It’s not often I get to share a party that I was not only lucky enough to style, but also lucky enough to attend! So naturally, I’m especially excited to share today’s dinner party on the beach. The celebration? My lovely friend Jenna of That Wife‘s 30th birthday! The setting? One of the most picturesque places in the Bay Area, the Carmel City Beach. We set out to create a celebration with florals that complemented the natural seaside landscape, a healthy dose of metallics, and a bit of a Middle Eastern flair. We had such fun choosing flowers from the wholesale market and arranging them in a mismatched vessels that we collected from Home Goods and local thrift stores. Gorgeous pale green and copper chargers, rose gold flatware, and Moscow mule mugs set the table, which was completed with wooden bench seating, all from Classic Party Rentals. Sand-colored linens and a patterned runner from Napa Valley Linens echoed the beach setting. Pretty pops of Jenna’s favorite color, kelly green, were peppered throughout, including on the gorgeous calligraphy place cards from JM Paper & Ink and serving trays from Anthropologie. We all had the best time getting glammed up by Dolce Vita Beauty and putting on our pretty frocks for a fabulous party, which concluded with blankets and a bonfire on the beach. It’s so wonderful to relive these wonderful memories in the beautiful images from Majesta Patterson!
Rustic Mountain Wedding Inspiration
The breathtaking beauty of the Colorado Rockies and Vail’s Piney River Ranch is the backdrop for today’s inspiration shoot, and the one-of-a-kind location truly sets a spectacular stage. Surrounded by seemingly uninterrupted wilderness, rustic charm abounds. We love this unique take on a mountain wedding, which features industrial elements and metallics that bring a bit of the city to the ranch. By mixing rose gold, copper, gold, and silver with unique touches such as Edison lights and marquee letters, Pink Diamond Events brought a heightened sense of style to a traditional setting. Lush and earthy florals from Petals and Pours grace the table from Old Wood Soul, which was paired with modern copper chairs from Ecletic Hive. A white cake from Megan Joy Cakes with feather accents brings a delicate final touch. There is so much to love in these gorgeous images from Danielle DeFiore!
Destination Wedding in Park City Utah
Several months ago we shared Maryam and Josh’s Salt Lake City garden wedding, and today we have the huge honor of revealing Maryam’s gorgeous sister Mondi’s wedding to her handsome groom Cory! The sister’s unique personalities shine through in their choice of wedding, and Mondi’s is all about sophisticated glamour. Their destination wedding was set at The St. Regis Deer Valley, surrounded by mountains, and the couple worked with Allison Baddley of La Fete Floral & Events to plan and design an Old-Hollywood meets glamorous-rustic wedding. The ceremony provided the perfect occasion to incorporate Mondi’s Persian heritage. The Sofreh Aghd—a beautiful spread of items meant to symbolize what the couple wished for in their marriage—took center stage, and a Persian rug graced the ceremony aisle. The reception entrance featured a unique seating chart display: a 10 foot moss wall showcasing a wall of mirrors directing guests to their seats. Tables featured a mix of richly-colored arrangements (how gorgeous are those burgundy orchids?) and swaths of greenery echoing the surroundings. We are completely smitten with this entire day, and adore each image from Heather Nan Photography!
Intimate + Timeless Neutral Wedding Inspiration
Be still our hearts. Sara Cangueiro from Hoje é especial designed this ethereal inspiration shoot around the theme “Love is the salt of life”. Her vision of a timeless and romantic wedding was brought to life with a neutral color palette and a stunning setting. Seixas do Minho, Portugal’s Villa Idalina has an almost other-worldly feel, its stately ceilings and paneled walls in the most perfect shade of blue and gold. The gorgeous florals by Hoje é especial added a romantic touch to the intimate table setting for two. Janine is resplendent in a Jesus Peiro Porto gown and gold jewelry from Jewellery for Al, with tousled waves by Pedro Ferreira and soft makeup by Makeup By Bárbara Brandão. A simple cake with sugar laurel leaves from Peace of Cake is delicately placed on a wood console, and taper candles alight the room. We are utterly in love with each frame from Momento Cativo!
Rustic Fall Wedding Inspiration
Virginia’s late fall colors are positively stunning, and today’s inspiration shoot shows them off to perfection! Using the transition from autumn to winter as their inspiration, the team of Reverie Supply and Wild Green Yonder brought the mood of the season to life. The bouquet created by Lori Tran of Wild Green Yonder may just be one of our absolute favorites ever with its sprawling greenery, autumn blooms, and flowing ribbons from Silk & Willow. The inimitable Laura Hooper Calligraphy hand-lettered gold ink on charcoal paper to create stationery that beautifully encapsulated the spirit of the shoot, and we adore the lace Sarah Seven gown paired with loose, easy waves styled by Erica Basha. We’re smitten with each and every image from Reverie Supply!
Romantic Holiday Wedding Inspiration
Hello my dears and happy Christmas! I hope you are in the midst of much merry and bright. We have some beautiful and romantic holiday inspiration for you today from the Chicago dream team of Hello Darling, Nimble Well, and Kina Wicks! Taking inspiration from the colors of the season, Natalie from Hello Darling created a positively stunning bouquet in shades of crimson, blush, and garnet which pairs beautifully with centerpieces of beautiful greenery garland and a sea of taper candles. We adore the dessert table, which features the most lovely gold and white confection from Luscious Layers Bakery. The addition of silhouettes is such a romantic touch, and touches of berries and cotton echo the softness of the season. Run over to the gallery to immerse yourself in all of the holiday inspiration!
Modern Elegant Ivory and Gold DC Wedding
Avery and Chris met at law school in Alabama but then moved to Georgetown where they continued to fall in love with not only each other, but with DC as well, so it’s no surprise that when they started planning their wedding, they wanted to share those loves with all their friends and family! It was an amazingly elegant weekend, starting with a gorgeous rehearsal dinner on Friday evening, and then a Saturday reception at Potomac View Terrace (APHA) where guests enjoyed incredible views of the Lincoln Memorial and Capital Building. They went with a classy and chic monochrome palette of ivory and gold for their tablescapes, incorporating both tall and short arrangements of white hydrangea, roses, and flowering branches from Duran Floral Design. These photos from Lisa Blume Photography are the epitome of classic modern elegance!
Romantic Lavender Farm Wedding Inspiration
There’s nothing dreamier than a field of lavender at golden hour, so it’s no surprise that the team behind this shoot chose Blue Barn Lavender Farm as their location and inspiration! The bride is positively radiant in a couture Claire Pettibone gown and the classic bouquet of ivory and blush roses by Willow Garden Floral Design and Gift Boutique is the perfect accessory, stunning and subtle at the same time. Touches like fresh lavender tosses and lavender linens dot the tablescape as a nod to the venue. Classic and chic, these photos by Lovely Light Imagery are French country perfection, so be sure to check out the full gallery below!
Modern Romantic Gold Wedding Inspiration
While a bright and bold color palette will often be the one to steal the show, today’s inspiration from Iris and Oak Events proves that neutrals can very much hold their own in the spotlight! The fresh white walls of Felicity Church were the ideal clean slate for Leaf and Petal Nola to create a stunning garden of gold and white florals. Lush centerpieces — low compotes overflowing with monochromatic roses, orchids, and ranunculus — perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the runner-less wooden table set with gold flatware and cut glass. Every detail in this New Orleans shoot is so very magical, you’re going to love all of these photos from Tasha Rae Photography!
Elegant Heirloom Farmhouse Wedding
Holly and Jacob chose the beautiful Grandeur House for their fall wedding and the all-white farmhouse was the perfect backdrop to highlight all of the personal details they chose for their event. Dusty blue tablescapes were warmed by centerpieces from A Pocket Full of Posies in hues of rust, burgundy, and orange, reflecting the fall foliage outside, and Holly’s mother used stained glass from churches hit by Hurricane Katrina to make beautiful glass flowers for the tables. Small magnolia and Japanese red maple trees were even placed in the space for the evening but then brought to the couple’s home to be planted as a memory of their big day! They did an amazing job incorporating family heirlooms into their celebration while also creating new heirlooms and Jessica Brown Photography captured each of those details perfectly!
Shoreline Meets Sea Floor Wedding Inspiration
With a backdrop as breathtaking as the coastline of the Pacific Northwest, it’s no surprise that the team who created this shoot chose “sea floor meets shoreline” as their inspiration. Taking the color palette from the ocean with pops of color inspired by coral reefs, Dulce Blomma created gorgeous centerpieces and a jaw-dropping bouquet with dried florals and sun-bleached driftwood. One of the most amazing details though is the gown from Ephemerl with its subtle yet stunning peek of blue green fabric and we love how Sean Thomas Photography captured its movement against the ocean and all the rest of the magical beauty that this talented team created!
